Volunteers, various duties
A number of volunteering positions is often available, some at the commission-paid basis. Such as the attendance (fundraising sales) work at our trailers-saler’s section, with our org. supportive products and sporting products and accessories, at the non-profit basis. By which we, in turn – ongoing-donate for the community, at the: child protection services (CPS), aero-medical services (AMS) and partnered sport & humanity causes, that we either sponsor, member at, or assist. Other similar promotional, and industry exhibitions work, as well. Also, we have often some other volunteering work available, at the other (org-supportive) activities and products, and their production, with the references for you, from the such work experience, for your later references needs. Volunteering positions are not on the f/t paid basis, by the default definition, but if the contribution is significant, and the volunteer is a fully signed OZAV Member, some commission-based funding for the such work is made available, acting as a convenient secondary income, that can come very handy, at the times.
REQUIREMENTS FOR VOLUNTEERING AT OZAV Intnl
You will need to have the following in check:
1. Clean police record, with the ability to obtain your police check for us, form the link you will be provided, by our admin section.
2. Checkable references, and be over 18 years of age. Volunteering at the OZAV Intnl requires the full membership signup, by the documents you will be provided, by our admin section, to sign and return to our HQ, by the postal mail.
3. Evidence of Australian residency status, such as citizenship certificate, with additional document, that in any combination you want makes the 100 usual points of identification.
*Any access / or signup form that is not fully completed or that is omitted, by you, will invalidate your volunteering position and membership. Any signup, from any different than stated, (or any harmful, non-genuine agenda) reasons will be reported to the regulator, and – via our legal section to authorities. To deceive, mistreat, obstruct, or purposely damage a non-profit organization is a serious offense.
Legal / Paralegal professionals positions
As a non-profit and nothing much is happening intensively, but you are welcome to assist, at an: ongoing basis, at our usual non-profit-org. legal needs. Normally: the 2 Volunteer positions are often available, at our growing legal section, that can turn into an ongoing pay positions. A relevant, proven background in legal / paralegal work is mandatory. Suitable to P/T work seeking professionals, paralegal’s and legal freelancers. We will not contact you at your web-freelancing websites, where you might be the members, and you will have to attend an interview in the person first, at out VIC, AU based HQ office, Melbourne. Of course, for any signed / volunteering members: in the first year, and after – your work will be evaluated for the quality and genuity, same as for the work of all the other ongoing volunteers, members, professionals and OZAV students, and it will be counted for your references in the future, that may need to be provided by us, for your future referee needs.
A few other notes, importantly:
By our own, organisation PLI insurance – you might be covered only for the some locations / events, but we are unable to provide an explicit insurance guarantee to volunteers, either, since the locations / conditions where we are active in VIC and / or broader: vary to a high degree.
So, we recommend that you have also your own public liability insurance, if you do any volunteering work around, within our own, or any other organisation, since we, from the year 2021 are unable and we don’t cover the volunteers explicitly, for that aspect. Also – if privately obtained for yourself, from the available online insurer’s websites – public liability insurances are not that expensive any more, for (all-and-any) budget, that you might be on.
We can retroactively, (only partially) assist you with the your own PLI insurance cost, (provided us first from your side: the exact copy of the policy, which has to be current, valid, and active, and can be checked with your provider).
